Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of crownmerchantfinancial.com (the “Site”) and the Crown Merchant Financial connector for AI assistants (the “Connector”), both operated by Crown Merchant Financial LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Crown Merchant Financial”). By using the Site or the Connector you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

Who we are

Crown Merchant Financial LLC is an independent life insurance agency based in Chicago, Illinois. We are licensed to sell insurance in specific states. We are not an insurance company, and we do not issue policies. Coverage, when issued, is a contract between you and the insurance company.

Estimates are not offers

Any premium figure shown on the Site or returned by the Connector is an estimate. It is not an offer of coverage, a quote bound by any insurer, or a promise of approval. Your actual premium depends on underwriting and approval by the insurance company and may be higher or lower. Nothing on the Site or in the Connector should be read as a promise about future policy values or performance.

The Connector

The Connector provides two functions to AI assistants: an estimated monthly premium range and the ability to book a free consultation with a licensed agent.
The Connector is available only for residents of states where we hold a license. If you are elsewhere, it will tell you and will not book a call.
Your AI assistant is provided by a third party (for example, Meta). We do not control how your assistant presents our responses, and its own terms and privacy policy apply to your use of it.
Booking a consultation requires your explicit agreement to be contacted. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP to a text or telling us on a call or by email.
You agree to provide accurate contact information and to book consultations only for yourself or someone who has asked you to do so.

Text messaging (SMS) terms

Program: Crown Merchant Financial SMS. We text appointment scheduling and reminders, follow-ups after a call or email, policy application status updates, and replies to your questions.
How you opt in: by checking the optional SMS box on a form on this Site or by agreeing on a phone call with us. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Frequency: message frequency varies based on your requests and appointments.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP at any time. You will get one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Site or the Connector to send automated or abusive traffic, to attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access, to submit false or misleading information, or for any unlawful purpose. We may rate limit, block, or suspend access at our discretion.

No professional advice

Content on the Site and responses from the Connector are general information. They are not legal, tax, or investment advice. Talk to a licensed agent, and where appropriate your own advisors, before making decisions about coverage.

Intellectual property

The Site, the Connector, and their content are owned by Crown Merchant Financial LLC or its licensors. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with evaluating or obtaining insurance. AI assistant platforms may access the Connector through its public endpoint in accordance with these terms and the platform's own agreements with us.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and the Connector are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site or the Connector will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crown Merchant Financial LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or the Connector. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or the Connector will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to request deletion. It is part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
